Official Game Rules and Scoring

In Erste Liga Tips, both knowledge and luck matter. Points are awarded based on your predictions made before the match according to the following detailed system:

1. Base Points

• 10 points: Exact final score in case of a draw (e.g., 2-2).
• 8 points: Exact final score (non-draw).
• 6 points: Correct winner AND exact goal difference.
• 5 points: Correct winner AND total goals scored in the match.
• 4 points: Correct winner AND exact goals scored by one of the teams.
• 3 points: Correct winner only.
• 2 points: Wrong winner, BUT correctly guessed total goals scored in the match.
• 1 point: Wrong winner, BUT correctly guessed exact goals scored by one of the teams.
• 0 points: Entirely wrong prediction.

+2 points (Bonus): Guessed the OT/Shootout winner correctly when the base prediction was a draw.

2. Using Jokers

At the start of every season, you get 3 base Jokers. Using a Joker doubles the base points earned from that match (e.g., 5 points become 10).

Bonus Joker: For every exact score predicted (8 or 10 points), you receive +1 bonus Joker (no upper limit). Use them wisely!

3. Leaderboard & Badges

In case of a point tie, the system ranks players based on the number of exact score predictions. Top players can also earn exclusive badges for their profiles:

• 🎯 Sniper: 3 exact scores in a row.
• 💙 Loyal Fan: 10 winning predictions for your own favorite team.
• ⚡ Clutch Expert: Guessed the Overtime/Shootout winner 3 times.
• 🦉 Night Owl: Successfully submitted a 'Late' tip at least 5 times.
